Rehabilitation within LCN is more than recovery; it is a journey of restoration, dignity, and renewed identity. Many who come seeking help carry deep wounds, broken relationships, or the weight of past struggles — yet through compassionate guidance, spiritual support, and practical opportunities, they begin to rebuild their lives with courage and purpose.
From carpentry workshops to mentorship, from government training initiatives to daily encouragement, individuals are discovering that change is possible when hope is offered at the right moment. Rehabilitation becomes a place where lies are dismantled, truth is embraced, and new beginnings take root.
This work testifies that every life can rise again, and that with the right support, even the smallest steps forward can lead to lasting transformation for individuals, families, and entire communities.
The Wood Work Project — Destroying Lies, Expanding Hope - The Ambassadors Apprentice Workshop (Launched 2024)
The Ambassadors Apprentice Workshop continues to grow as a centre of purpose, restoration, and practical transformation. Under the Pastor’s mentorship, young men are learning hands‑on carpentry skills alongside daily devotions and life lessons in discipline, faith, and integrity. The Workshop recently relocated to a more visible space, allowing for greater growth, community engagement, and impact.
The Pastor often testifies that what began as a simple prayer for tools to support his own sons has become a living testimony of God’s provision — proof that small beginnings, when dedicated to God, can produce the unthinkable and unexpected.
Barriers Removed, Pathways to Self Development Opened
Another young man was held back by lack of funds to pay off a debt in his vocational college. Unable to apply for jobs or make any progress towards his building career, he approached our pastor and we were able to provide the balance that was due and have his file cleared of any debt thus having his documents and certificates released. (This is a common occurrence for many who struggle through education through lack of fees, only to finish and then have their certificates withheld until they have cleared debts.) We have seen this with most of the students we are helping.
This young man who performed well in his course went down a dark path of alcoholism but he never lost hope. Prospects after college should not be a unattainable due to lack of fees - especially where effort has been present on the student’s part and the parents to pay for most of the education.
LCN sees this as a hindrance to progress in the rural community we support and hopeful that in the future grassroots will be revisited and discussed to support young people better and parents.
A Young Man’s Journey — From Desperation to Purpose
Earlier this year, a young man from the rural community reached out to LCN, saying he was at his end and desperately wanted help to become a better family man. He expressed a deep desire for change and asked for support to enter rehabilitation.
Following conversations with him and the Pastor, he was introduced to a government initiative offering training and attachments in carpentry and technical skills. He embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly.
LCN now supports him with his day‑to‑day expenses so he can attend his classes consistently. His commitment, humility, and willingness to rebuild his life reflect the heart of true rehabilitation — restoring dignity, rebuilding purpose, and strengthening families.
His journey is a reminder that when hope is offered at the right moment, transformation becomes possible.
