Where Healing Meets Hope — Creativity as a Pathway to Restoration
Mental health remains one of the most tender and transformative areas of LCN’s work. Many individuals who have walked through seasons of depression, trauma, self‑harm, and deep personal struggle are now finding renewed strength through community, creativity, and faith.
Through the Good Samaritan Music Ministry, voices once silenced by pain are rising again — writing, singing, speaking, and creating expressions of worship that carry healing, gratitude, and endurance. These creative outlets have become lifelines, offering stability, identity, and peace of mind to those rebuilding their lives.
This ministry stands as a living witness that when people are given safe spaces, supportive relationships, and opportunities to use their God‑given gifts, hope can be restored, purpose rediscovered, and lives transformed.
The Good Samaritan Music Ministry — A Witness
Individuals experiencing various challenges have continued ministering through music and the spoken word, producing new worship pieces that speak of healing, gratitude, and endurance. These expressions have brought solace, stability, and peace of mind.
“A book of my journey with mental health is now under review with the Kenya Books Publishers, and I recently shared my life testimony on national TV. Turning 50 in May was a milestone celebrated with great joy — marking years of divine preservation after surviving self‑harm through my late 30s and 40s.”
“I have new meaning in life and a renewed reason to hope for my future. My depression and feelings of hopelessness are reducing as I use my musical gifts for ministry. I am able to face each day as a mother and wife with hope and resilience.”
Reflections from some of the band members affirm that creativity is a God‑given tool for channelling hope and renewal. Their stories stand as a witness to the faithfulness of God to those who hold fast to His ways.
